A painting inspired by the paintings of old. Michael taking a round or two out of the big bad guy himself.

Painted in PS 7 using an Intuos tablet.

Michael The Archangel by ~steeldolphin This piece is the kind you expect to see on canvas in a museum. It is structured perfectly anatomically and within the designs of the folds. The contrast between the illuminated clouds versus the shadows by the rock is also a nice touch since it is an angel against a demon (Suggested by ~DragonDude13 and Featured by `leodadominico)

This really does remind of the works of the old masters. Perhaps mainly because of the way the devil is portrayed. Reminds me of Dante´s work, that one. The coloring is exeptional in this one, especially the sky and clouds are really well done.

i TRIED to draw rafiel and gahbriel... didnt come out to good though... ^^; ill just stick with anime
but isnt Michael's symbol the flaming sword?... regardless
i love the anatomy and pose of him over the deam, and the wings are great :heart:
