I have recently picked up the brush (a real one not a digital one). I haven't done any real traditional paintings since college and even then it was only a few acrylics done in first year. I decided to try working with oils, and it has been immensely rewarding. My first painting tentatively named "Finding light" has been submitted, and I plan on doing more paintings very soon (abstract landscapes). I would love to get your feed back on these submissions!

I have been trying to do some daily sketch/paints in Photoshop as I have been so long out of touch with that aspect of my art. Getting back into it hasn't exactly been like "riding a bike" but the daily (or rather semi-weekly) quick paints are helping. I will be including some in my scrap book http://steeldolphin.deviantart.com/gallery/?catpath=scraps if anyone is interested in seeing them, they are certainly far from being full featured deviations but any comments you have are - as always welcome. These are done in Photoshop taking anywhere from 10min to 45min or so.

I might be back

So my last entry on DA is in 2007, I need to get my shit together. I am working at the art thing again, but I have really fallen off the track and need to get back into shape so to speak. I hope to be posting some art soon... but then again I have said that before. Cheers Steeldolphin (aka Chris Arlidge)

Found this through going to the link for the Steeldolphin tutorials and found out the site wasn't loading for some reason. So I was hoping somewhere had it, even if it was stolen. I was desperate, I say!!! Instead I found this. Not the tutorials, but still pretty.
will you draw something for me?
im considering a tattoo on my back. i want angel wings, and theyre gonna leave a big circle in the middle.

i was considering getting a battle between good angels, and bad ones. i want them to look realistic, and im asking several people for this, so see what i want. free hands mostly, and all in all, it should be fun to draw?

its a black, white, red, and gray tattoo, so all i can say is that i want at least soome angels on top ready to fly downwards, and some looking up with theyre sword raised. i dont want any faces, and i want body armour. if u ever played diablo 2, ud know what i mean, and i only found a couple of bad pictures, but im adding a couple of links to show what i mean:
[link] [link] . the pictures are really small, and i want wings like [link] . up to you ^^
